FARE fights racism at the World Cup!

UEFA’s partner in the campaign to eliminate racism from football, the Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) network, and world football’s governing body FIFA are undertaking a series of joint measures to tackle racism at the FIFA World Cup finals in Germany.

The initiative between FARE, FIFA, and the World Cup Local Organising Committee, is focusing on identifying problems and disseminating educational messages. FIFA is using matches to send out an anti-racism message by declaring the quarter-final matches in Germany as anti-racism games. Before every quarter-final match, team captains will read a personal pledge against racism and teams will come together behind a banner.
